I want to be a scientist NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW and do cool experiments and discover new things and not have to worry about exams and progress and doing well. When I’m a scientist I’ll wear a lab coat 24/7 and my life will be marvelous, but as for now all I have to look forward to tomorrow is chemistry (and more chemistry, and more chemistry, and more chemistry….it’s a never-ending pile of chemistry…I’m pretty sure it’s growing in my sleep). Don’t get me wrong, I actually like chemistry. Even this chemistry. Just not the massive, high-pressure exam waiting for me at the end of it.

…is making my summer holidays a miserable, panic-stricken mess of worrying about whether or not I have enough time to learn everything and wondering why I can’t learn it any faster and/or better.

If anyone ever gives you the opportunity to attempt an exam without the proper textbook, complete lecture notes, or a clue what you’re meant to be doing and how you’re meant to be doing it, I would encourage you to politely refuse.

In other news, I return to England in 15 days!

By ‘realistic’ i mean it looks like it could be a photograph rather than being a computer image. I don’t mean this is what carbon nanotubes ‘actually look like’.

Basically, Fuck Yeah Molecular Biology is a second blog. I made this blog for about two weeks, decided that I’d quite like to start a science blog, and did. Fuck Yeah Molecular Biology was born - which has been an amazing, surprising, and inspiring success. In short, though, having this blog just kind of…here has always annoyed me, because people get confused when I respond to their questions and such. So I’ve deleted all my old posts, renamed it, given it a theme makeover (which is currently a work-in-progress, my apologies) and decided to use it.

This is going to be a personal blog. You will see a hodgepodge of things, consisting of mostly what I feel like posting, although lots of what I like posting about is science - not restricted to biology, either. There will also (probably) be posts about my daily life, my course at uni, what I get up to, when I get up to it, and maybe even a few photos along the way.

I probably won’t post here very often - I do treat FYMB as my main blog - but for those of you who do take a more personal interest, you can follow me here.
